Next, I talked to Manny, who was my instructor for all driving. I could not have asked for a better teacher for this life skill. He is clearly a gifted instructor that is used to teaching all personality types, and once he got to know me and my style, he was able to get through clearly. What I liked most about Manny's teaching was the real-world quality of it, the little tricks, common mistakes, and lifehacks that he shared early on in the process that they DON'T mention in any of the literature. It goes without saying that reading and driving are two totally different things, and I don't think I would have fared nearly as well without Manny's techniques.
Mike was another instructor that I worked with on 1 day, and although we didn't do much together, I could tell that he also had a great knowledge and teaching style.
Lastly I met Bill, who conducted the DOT test for my graduation, and he was also great. Fair and kind and makes you feel comfortable, but took his job very seriously and safely.
All in all this was the best experience I could ask for. As a total newcomer to the driving world, that knew absolutely NOTHING about a month ago, they turned me into the driver I will be. Heritage makes great claims that all of their students pass the exam and they have never had a failure. I guess I believe them!
